Galway Sings Project

Galway Sings Project

Location:
NUI Galway, Co. Galway

The Galway Sings Project is a class-based introduction to choir and group singing. It is designed with the beginner in mind (singers do not need to read music) and the classes are devised to deliver a fun approach to group singing.

The music is in the popular music realm and can range from the Beatles to Dolly Parton!

A typical class starts at 7.15 with a warmup (both physical and vocally) and following this we learn a piece. The class is split into three sections based on your voice type. We have Firsts (high voices), Seconds (middle range voice) and Thirds (low voices). We work towards a small public performance each term but there is no obligation for members to sing in public – some of our members just prefer to sing in the class!

Classes are Thursday evenings from 7.15pm – 8.50pm in the River Room at NUI Galway. Email galwaysingsproject@gmail.com"
