A Cappella Mens' Choir
The Killaloe Male Voice Choir was formed in January 2015 under the Musical Directorship of Ms. Anne Cullen. The choir has 30 members and its expanding repertoire draws on classical and contemporary pieces in four parts including musical standards and popular world favourites.
More +In recent years, the choir has performed regularly at venues including St. Mary’s Cathedral Limerick and St. Flannan's Cathedral, Killaloe, Co. Clare. During the pandemic the choir remained active, meeting and rehearsing remotely using Jamulus collaboration software, culminating in the online recording of the popular sea shanty 'I'm Bound Away'. In 2022 the choir made a welcomed post-COVID return to performing at the Limerick Sings International Choral Festival. It performed in St. Marys Cathedral Limerick as part of Mental Health Week, and St. Flannans Cathedral, Killaloe. In June 2023, it will perform at the renowned Killaloe Music Festival. Members come from a wide variety of occupations, backgrounds, and musical experiences.
We are a community choir based in Miltown Malbay Co. Clare. We were established in 2015 and are drawn up of male, female and family members - SATB.
More +We sing a wide range of music world music, classical, popular and folk Kate Daly is our choir leader and Donal McHugh our accompanist. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings 7-9pm in the Resource centre, Miltown Malbay. All are welcome to join. No audition necessary.
The Gunas are an award-winning female choir based in Killaloe and directed by Rhoda Clery. They have become widely recognised as an important contributor to the musical and cultural life of the Killaoe-Ballina and Limerick regions.
The Lismorahaun Singers are a unique choir based in the Burren on the West Coast of Ireland. It is a non-audition choir of amateur singers, who like to take on challenging works and to share the joy of singing with the local community. Primarily, the choir welcomes new members twice each year, in September when it starts preparing for its Christmas concert, and in January, when work typically begins on a major work for a summer concert. The choir was founded in 1999 by Archie Simpson and is now under the direction of Kate Daly. Rehearsals generally take place each Sunday from 6pm at St John’s Hall in Ballyvaughan. Voices of the Derg are a friendly and welcoming community choir based in the twin-town of Killaloe-Ballina.
More +They are under the direction of accomplished musician Fiona Fitzgerald and are a non-audition 50+ member choir made up of men and women from a variety of backgrounds. The group pride themselves on delivering a fun and lively performance of a varied repertoire of music. Our choir welcomes the opportunity to perform at concerts (local, national and international), festivals and charitable events.
