Sing Ireland presents its 41st International Choral Conducting Summer School for conductors, teachers, music students, choral singers and musicians. The only one of its kind in Ireland, this seven-day intensive course offers a wealth of expertise from international tutors, all of whom are active conductors and experienced teachers of conducting. With courses designed to meet the needs and abilities of every student — from beginners to experienced and established conductors — participants at all levels will develop and refine their core conducting skills, with more advanced classes focusing on areas such as rehearsal technique, interpretation, vocal technique and style.



Based in the beautiful surroundings of the University of Limerick, the summer school provides intensive instruction in choral conducting given by dynamic and inspirational tutors. A range of workshops will cover essential and stimulating topics; there will be daily warm-ups, choir sessions and an evening of masterclasses - all ensuring a varied, vibrant and valuable course to be enjoyed by all.

Music is available to purchase directly from Sing Ireland once you are assigned to a course level and information about repertoire will be available from Sing Ireland.

Course Fees

(Early bird rate extended: for applications received and paid in full by 30th April 2022)

Deposit rate: €100 for participants and 50% for observers

Accommodation and catering

On-campus, self-catering accommodation is offered at a rate of €35 per night. This will be open for booking in Spring 2022.

Campus restaurants on campus offer lunches/dinners from €10-€15
