Volunteers Singers needed!

Acquired Brain Injury Charity Headway are looking for volunteer singers to join their choir. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday morning, from 10.30am to 12.30pm in the Headway main office in Blackhall Place, Smithfield, Dublin 7

About us: Headway is a not- for -profit organisation that provides support to individuals with an acquired brain injury and their families. Every year in Ireland, approximately 10,000 people are admitted to hospital with serious head injuries, with a similar number admitted suffering from strokes. An acquired brain injury can occur at any time as a result of an accident, assault, fall, brain haemorrhage or viral infection.

In 2015, my colleagues and I set up a choir for people with an acquired brain injury – all adults- and staff. So far, we have taken part in local events- such as Stoneybatter festival and we have performed in public places for special occasions e.g. Carol singing in Stephen Green Shopping Centre, Heuston Station for Brain Awareness Week.

We are looking for volunteers to join our choir. We rehearse every Tuesday morning, from 10.30am to 12.30pm in our main office in Blackhall Place, Smithfield, Dublin 7.

There is a nice, inclusive, friendly atmosphere in the group, and we would love to welcome new people.

Requirements: we are looking for volunteers (over 18) - alto, soprano, tenor or bass- with preferably musical background, friendly and outgoing.
