Published 19 November 2019

The choir is based in the parish of the St. John the Evangelist, Ballinteer, Dublin 16. We sing at religious ceremonies in the parish of Ballinteer. (September to May) We currently have 70 active singers and four musicians. We also perform at charitable events. We enjoy the reputation of being a formidable choir and sound amazing. Our membership enjoy the current “fun but hard work ethos within the choir”.

We have had the honour and privilege to sing at a “Papal Mass” in the Vatican. We have performed at the National Concert Hall and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. We also had the pleasure of singing for our President Michael D. Higgins in Trinity College, Dublin. We had a sell out performance at the Mill Theatre Dublin in November 2018.

Our founding musical director is stepping down after 10 glorious years. We are now seeking the right candidate to bring us into the next chapter of our musical journey of Gospel music in upbeat and Harmonic style. The choir is run by an elected committee. The Musical Director will be responsible for all things musical such as, familiarising themselves with our current repertoire. Sourcing and teaching new material. Taking charge of rehearsals and performances.

Renumeration package available, commensurate with role.
