Seeking Volunteer Musicians for Sweet Memories Choir

Published 2 October 2019

Living Well with Dementia is a HSE initiative that supports people throughout Dun Laoghaire Rathdown who are living with dementia. The people we support are still living at home and want to stay as involved in their community as they can, taking part in activities they enjoy. To this end, we run a variety of fun classes across the area, including dance, exercise, art, bridge and choirs. All of these activities are run entirely by a wonderful team of volunteers.

The choirs we run are particularly popular and we see large numbers attending. However we'd really love to add to our group of volunteer musicians. Would you like to join our group of volunteers and come along to accompany our choirs for an hour or two each week? All instruments would be welcome! We currently have two choirs running, one in St Joseph's in Shankill (Tuesday afternoons) and the other in St Raphaela's in Stillorgan (Saturday mornings). It’s a fabulous way to give something back to your community, as well as having fun yourself and making new friends!

If this is something you would be interested in hearing more about, you can email me at or give me a call on 087 744 7880 (Eimear).
