Monaleen parish church choir seeks organist

Monaleen parish church choir, Limerick, seeks organist for upcoming choir term beginning mid- Sept 23. The successful applicant will be required to play at weekly rehearsals, two Sunday morning masses per month, as well as Christmas and Easter services. The choir term runs from mid-Sept to mid-May with short breaks after Christmas and Easter. Remuneration will be in accordance with Sing Ireland accompaniment fee guidelines. Do you love singing challenging but rewarding music in a friendly but committed environment with a wide range of ages and nationalities? We are an internationally award-winning amateur Irish mixed-voice chamber choir. Our repertoire ranges from standard works to Tudor editions prepared by choir members and premieres of contemporary compositions written for the choir. Since our foundation in 2014 by our professional conductor, Amy Ryan, we have won first prizes at most of the major festivals in Ireland. We rehearse on Thursday evenings in a well-ventilated venue in Adelaide Rd., Dublin 2. A typical choir year includes weekly rehearsals from September to early June, one or two weekend rehearsals a term, three or more concerts a year, informal performances at Christmas, regular social events, and a trip to a competition or festival in Ireland or abroad. Solstice Singers seeks new Choir Director

The group was formed online during the pandemic with a group singing lesson as its foundation. We held our first concert in Dec 2022 with a repertoire that included choral, traditional, foreign language and pop. We are looking for someone who can help us continue to improve our vocal technique & range and develop small group singing. We are open to learning a variety of styles, our focus is on vocal coaching with performance being the end result when we are ready to do so.
