Navan Community Singers seeks temporary choir director

A temporary choir director is been sought for Navan Community Singers from September to May 2020. Navan Community Singers are based in Navan, Co. Meath. They are a vibrant group of people who love to sing. The group is entering its fourth year and have been very busy over the last 3 years performing for charity events, community events, weddings, Christmas parties including this year coming. They also have entered two choral competitions entering the popular and gospel section and did very well in both. They were invited and are about to perform for the 'Bleeding Pig Cultural Festival ' in Donabate next week. They have a broad genre of music likes including popular, jazz, swing, gospel, The choir practises on a Monday evening from 8-10 p.m. weekly from September to early June each year.
Due to unforeseen circumstances their choir director Eileen Foley has had take time away from the group for this year. There is a programme planned up to Christmas but thereafter the new director can decide with the committee a plan and is also free to teach new material and put their own stamp musically on the group.

This is a paid position.
