Culwick Choral Society Welcomes New Members

Published 13 January 2021

The Culwick Choral Society wishes you all a very happy and safe New Year. Now in our 123rd year, we are one of the oldest choirs in Dublin. We continue to sing online during the current restrictions and to welcome new members to the choir.

Do you love singing and have you been thinking about joining a choir? Why not join us online and sing with us, free of charge, for a few weeks to see if you would like to become a member? We provide rehearsal tracks and sheet music for each line. We use these to practice at home in advance of the online rehearsals which are led by our esteemed Musical Director, David Leigh.

We will resume Zoom rehearsals on Thursday 14th January 2021 at 7.30 pm. This term we will rehearse some of the great classical pieces such as Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Te Deum, and Mozart’s Laudate Dominum. We will also continue with a number of traditional songs like The Parting Glass and Mo Ghile Mhear.

We will perform the Messiah in an online concert before Easter and the Te Deum before the Summer break in June. We look forward to the time, hopefully later this year, when we will be able to perform again in public.
