Cineálta Choir is seeking new members!
Do you love to sing, whether it’s in the shower, humming along to the radio, or on nights out? Maybe you sang in a school or college choir years ago, or took part in musicals, and would love to get back singing? If so, Cineálta Choir is for you! We’re a mixed-voice adult community choir currently recruiting anyone who likes to sing in Dublin 15 and the surrounding areas. Our name, Cineálta, means kind in Irish, and kindness, inclusion, and connection are at the heart of what this choir is all about! We formed in January of 2023, and so far have given a summer concert and a performance at the annual Castleknock Village Festival. This term, we’re working towards our first ever Christmas concert, which we’re very excited about!
Previous choir experience and the ability to read music are not essential, but would be advantageous. The only requirement is that members can hold a tune, and are willing to learn. We sing a varied repertoire, ranging from pop and musical theatre arrangements to folk and traditional, along with classical choral music. Adults of all ages & backgrounds are welcome to join! We have vacancies in all voice parts, but at present, we’re particularly seeking additional male voices.
