Ireland’s cultural diversity is increasing. According to the 2019 Census data, 12.7% of the Irish population are from migrant background. Ireland’s multicultural society requires organisations like Sing Ireland to embrace this diversity and enhance their cultural understanding and interactions with migrant communities.

Ireland’s multicultural society requires organisations like Sing Ireland to embrace this diversity and enhance their cultural understanding and interactions with migrant communities.

This training is divided into three parts and will focus on developing the following:
• Cultural competency
• Cross cultural communication skills
• Self-awareness and Cultural diversity awareness
• An action plan to integrate cultural competency into activities and practices.

The interactive workshops are learner centred, focusing on the specific needs of participants. A safe space is created to allow participants to self-assess their own multi-dimensional cultural identities and be reflexive on how cultural biases can impede ability to work effectively with people from multicultural backgrounds.

Participants will complete an Individual Action Plan sheet at the end of the workshop.

Workshop will consist of 3 modules delivered in a 2hr session from 6-8pm on 30th November.
