Creating an anti-racist and inclusive singing sector

Creating an anti-racist and inclusive singing sector

This interactive workshop aims to develop the capacity of participants to better recognise and challenge racial inequities in their work processes and workplace.

Participants will recognise the dimensions of racism as the data shows in Ireland and what it means to be anti-racist. They will be able to identify and correct previously unrecognised racist patterns which could negatively impact on workplace diversity and cultural inclusion efforts. Participants will also have a clearer understanding of how institutions and systems are producing unjust and inequitable outcomes for people from marginalised and underrepresented communities.

Our Anti-racist workshops will consist of 2 modules delivered in a 90mins sessions on 2nd and 7th December from 6-730pm.

Participants will:

• Understand racism and the forms of racism in Ireland

• Understand what it means to be an anti-racist and inclusive singer

• Recognise how racism shows up in activities, procedures and practices

• Identify strategies for becoming an anti-racist and inclusive singer
